So I tell my hubby I'm going to make a delivery to my client in Seattle (which is 5 hours away). I gather my goods along with my purse, throw on a sweatsuit jacket, pull my unruly hair up on top of my head and jump in the car. This really is not the proper look of a beauty consultant! The farther I get from the house the more relaxed I get. Fifteen minutes later I drop off the products and I'm on my way home when I realize, A-HA! She lives near Baskin-Robbins! It was so crazy, a bit extravagant, not to mention SELFISH to stop and get ice cream for myself. But I did. I sat in my car in the rain, very slowly eating 2 scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream in a waffle cone in total silence! It was a luxurious treat, almost like going to the spa but a whole lot cheaper and of course a whole lot more calories.
On the way home I called my bestie, J., to catch up on the day. Then drove in the garage and sat there chatting for about 10 minutes finishing our conversation.
Back in the house with the chaos of hubby, teenager, 2 yr old and 2 dogs. Really, life is sweet! I really don't mean to whine or complain. God has blessed me beyond anything I deserve. Today was just one of those days and an hour away was a real treat. Oh, and the ice cream wasn't too bad either.
Abundant blessings, dear friends, tell me about your extravagant treat.

Oh, I love it! I'm right there with you. I had a drive-through McD's cafe chocolate shake last night when I was FOR ONCE sans kids in the car. I savored every slurp while I listened to KJ 97 turned up loud. Spa day, indeed!
